Your home is your child’s first learning environment. The first five years of life are the most important time in your child’s development. During this critical time it is important to provide your child with space for physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
Your child can learn to respect his/her space and the space of other family members. Activities can be set up to help the child learn to work and play independently as well as with other children and adults.
You will learn how to change the environment at each new stage of development.
Children’s Home Space goals are to:
- Help you recognize the natural development of your child.
- Help you choose the appropriate activities for the age of your child.
- Help you organize the space for your child.
- Help your child to do things independently.
- Help your child engage in play with other children.
- Help you choose activities that promote concentration.
- Help you set up activities for art, music, physical activities, language development, and everyday life activities.
